Meet Melissa Nakalembe, a determined young woman who is working hard to turn her passion for caring for others into a career in nursing.
Melissa is currently living in Kampala and is in her first year of a degree in Pediatric Nursing. She is studying hard and remains focused on her goal of one day caring for and making a difference in the lives of children.
Even before beginning her degree, Melissa showed an incredible commitment to her calling. She has already completed 1,000 hours of voluntary work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Kampala Hospital, gaining valuable experience and learning what it truly means to care for patients with compassion, patience and dedication.
Melissa is a very determined young lady. She continues to work hard, learn new skills and push herself toward the future she dreams of. We are so proud to see her growing into a confident young woman who wants to use her education to serve others.
Her journey would not be possible without the loving support of her sponsor. We want to say a heartfelt thank you for believing in Melissa and investing in her future. Your support is helping her pursue an education, follow her passion and prepare for a career where she can make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
